On September 22, TREB recognized those Members who have achieved the distinction of 25 year and 50 year Membership. President Larry Cerqua was honoured to announce fourteen new 50 Year Members "whose collective contribution to the real estate profession has created a legacy of success." Strolling down memory lane to 1966, Members were reminded of a time when 13,428 detached homes sold and the average selling price was $21,360 in Toronto.
And, an unprecedented 1,627 Members were recognized by a group of more than 1,500 of their peers, for the achievement of their 25-Year milestone in our profession. "This special group began their careers back in 1991" stated TREB President Larry Cerqua, a year when "38,144 detached homes changed hands in Toronto, and the average selling price was $234,313."
"I would like to say how proud I am of all of our new 25 and 50 Year Members" stated Cerqua, "and how thankful I am to be sharing this evening with all of you!"
A moment of silence in memory of those Members who have passed away in the past 12 months was also offered in gratitude for their service. Before concluding for the evening, attendees enjoyed the fellowship of associates and live entertainment provided by George Olliver and Gangbuster.
