A Member has reported a possible lead generation scam.
A company has called the Member from the same number several times in the past week offering to provide lead generation services and drive business to open houses, listings, etc. The company asked for the Member's credit card information to set up the services.
When the Member asked for more information about the company (name, location, website, etc.), they were told that the company is based in Ottawa and so no other information should be required.
The Member has repeatedly asked the company to stop soliciting them/their Brokerage, but the company continues to call.
This is a reminder to all Members to use due diligence when considering signing up for a lead generation/prospect service.
